Update: 9 Months

Dear Sullivan,
Your existence as an individual being has now surpassed the length of time you spent as a part of me.  Something about that fact makes you seem more independent.  Like an invisible "cord" has been cut.

Even still, you are my heart in the shape of a rolly-polly baby.  Your sweetness continues to get noticed constantly.  Even by strangers.  Again...there is something about you.  I wish your father and I could put our finger on it, but we can't.  Its an intangible quality.  A sparkle in your eyes that gives us glimpses of an amazing future.  There is greatness on the horizon for you my love, I feel it in every ounce of my being...we can't quite make out exactly what it is yet.  Maybe your great calling is just to bring people joy with that breathtaking smile.  Yes, you'd be good at that for sure.
My heart in the shape of child.
On a more technical/measurable note...you're still motoring like crazy in your army-crawling style.  You can pull up and stand on your own for a couple seconds.  You love to eat.  Your favorites are avocado spread on toast, sauteed tofu, cottage cheese, peaches and asparagus puree with mint (which personally makes me gag, but you eat it up).  Lately, when you're ready for your bottle you'll crawl over to me and whisper "babababa" while nodding your head.  That's the closest you ever get to making demands :)

Current stats:
Height: 29.5" (90th percentile)
Weight: 22 lbs 11 oz (75th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18.25" (75th percentile)

In looking at these numbers alone one would think you are a long and slender baby, but you are a butterball in my eyes!  I couldn't believe you were only in the 75th percentile for weight.  I almost demanded they re-weigh you ;)    I think you've probably slimmed down recently as a result of how mobile you are now.  I remember Max slowly but surely loosing all his baby fat from 9 months on.  And speaking of Max you two are starting to look more and more alike.  You look like a dark-haired version of him at this age.  People are starting to comment frequently on how much you look like brothers.

Sully, it gives me so much joy to watch you grow.  I can't wait to see what you're up to in these few short months before you turn ONE YEAR!

My whole heart,
Momma
